Rohani: Afghanistan Problems Should Be Settled By Own People

Tehran, Oct 20, IRNA – President Hassan Rohani received Iran’s new Ambassador to Kabul Mohammad Reza Bahrami here on Saturday. In the meeting, President Rohani told the ambassador that Afghanistan problems should be settled by its own people and interference of aliens would not make the situation there better. According to the report of Presidential Office website, Rohani called for development of ties in all fields with Afghanistan. Iran’s new ambassador to Kabul, on the eve of his mission to Afghanistan, met with President Rohani and presented a report on the latest situation in bilateral relations and internal issues. Rohani underlined necessity of development of relations between Iran and Afghanistan in all fields and said that the two nations have many cultural and political commonalities so there is a special friendly feeling between them./end
