Rohani For Expanding Tehran-Berlin Ties

Tehran, Sept 22, IRNA – President Hassan Rohani, responding to a felicitation message of German President Joachim Gauck, expressed hope that the two countries expand their relations in trade and industry. According to the report of Presidential Office Website on Saturday, President Rohani thanked his German counterpart for his message, adding that the two countries had old and friendly ties and expressed hope that with more cooperation between the two governments, relations would develop even more. Referring to President Gaucks request on Iran’s commitment to its international obligations, Rohani said in spite of a number of legal and judicial differences in law and regulations and governing standards in western and Islamic societies, the judicial bodies of the two states can consult with each other and promote mutual understanding and reach a correct judgment of executing laws upon national and cultural values of the countries. He added that his administration will try with all within its power to move toward international interactions and establish good ties with other nations and play its own constructive role in settling current problems. In this concern, expansion of ties with Germany is among priorities of Iran’s foreign policy./end
