Role of certain states in acts of sabotage against nuclear facilities revealed

Tehran, Aug 25, IRNA - Deputy Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) for Nuclear Security and Safeguards Asqar Zarean on Monday revealed the role of US, Germany, France and UK in acts of sabotage against Iranˈs nuclear facilities. He made the remarks in the opening ceremony of an exhibition related to acts of sabotage in the countryˈs industrial sector, attended by head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi. Acts of sabotage by foreign agents in the industrial sector is not limited to Iranˈs nuclear facilities and there have been similar activities against the countryˈs defense and telecommunication sectors, Zarean added. He called production line of natural and enriched UO2 (uranium dioxide) at the Uranium Conversion Facility (UCF) of Isfahan one of the targets of recent acts of sabotage. Intelligence Ministry identified and defused all acts of sabotage before they caused significant damages, Zarean said. He also said the AEOI has launched special laboratories for defusing industrial acts of sabotage. Iran has repeatedly complained of the enemiesˈ hostile efforts against its civilian nuclear program.
