Rouhani in Majlis to defend science minister nominee

Tehran, Nov 18, IRNA - President Hassan Rouhani attended the Majlis (Parliament) session on Tuesday to defend the qualifications of the proposed candidate for minister of Science, Research and Technology. Special Presidential Aide Hossein Fereidoun, Head of Iran Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi, Senior Presidential Advisor Mohammad-Reza Sadeq, Justice Minister Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi, Vice President for Parliamentary Affairs Majid Ansari, President's Office Chief of Staff Mohammad Nahavandian, Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education Hassan Qazizadeh-Hashemi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi, Education Minister Ali Asghar Fani and Government Spokesman Mohammad Baqer Nobakht are accompanying the President. On Nov 11, President Rouhani nominated Fakhreddin Ahmadi Danesh-Ashtiani as his nominee for the post of minister of science, research and technology.
