Russia’s draft resolution worked out to be acceptable to all - Churkin

THE UNITED NATIONS, November 19. /TASS/. A draft resolution on the struggle against terrorist organisations submitted by Russia to the UN Security Council (SC) has been worked out so as to be acceptable to everyone, Russia’s Permanent Representative at the world organisation Vitaly Churkin told reporters following the SC closed meeting. "I think the text of our draft resolution has been worded very well," Churkin said adding the document was universal and "written so that it can be acceptable to everyone," who was in the search for a pretext to make contradictions. "Looking for disagreements, one can find a fault with even a comma," the diplomat said. Along with this, Churkin said the response of other members of the UN Security Council to the draft resolution was positive. Earlier, French Ambassador to the UN Francois Delattre said that France would push for its own draft resolution. "First, they have no draft at the moment," the Russian ambassador said noting he would be against "any completion between two draft resolutions."
