Russia-Africa summit to yield a range of multilateral documents - Lavrov

MOSCOW, June 20. /TASS/. A number of multilateral and bilateral agreements are expected to be signed at the Russia-Africa summit due to be held in Russia’s Black Sea resort city of Sochi on October 24, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Thursday. "This really milestone, unprecedented meeting is expected to discuss a wide range of issues, look at ways of expanding Russian-African cooperation in various spheres: from politics to culture. An economic forum, to be held on the sidelines of the summit, one day ahead of it, will yield a range of bilateral and multilateral documents, including interstate and inter-ministerial and trade agreement, contracts," he said. According to the Russian top diplomat, the summit will bring together heads of state and government from African nations, leaders of the African Union and other leading sub-regional organizations.
