Russia-China-US dialogue may boost efforts to resolve Korean Peninsula issue - Lavrov

MOSCOW, May 13. /TASS/. Trilateral dialogue between Moscow, Beijing and Washington may boost efforts to stabilize the situation on the Korean Peninsula, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said following a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on Monday. "It will be easier to resolve the situation on the Korean Peninsula if there is trilateral dialogue between Russia, China and the United States," the Russian top diplomat said, adding that such a mechanism was being used to find a peaceful solution to the Afghanistan issue. "We need to realize our responsibility for global stability and security that should be equal for all countries and indivisible," Lavrov emphasized. "We will support any initiatives that imply cooperation between China, the US and Russia, provided they serve the cause of peace," he added. Read more
