Russia to continue efforts on peace settlement in Nagorno-Karabakh - Lavrov

YEREVAN, November 9. /TASS/. Russia supports Armenia’s adherence to peace methods of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution and will continue its efforts on this problem, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Monday. "We back Yerevan’s adherence to peaceful settlement of the conflict," Lavrov said following the talks with his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandyan. "We are confident that the efforts of the both sides on creating mutual consensus-based basis of the conflict settlement should continue." Lavrov said that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was one of the first priorities of Russian foreign policy and was controlled by Russian President Vladimir Putin. "Russia as a co-chairperson of the Minsk regulation group will continue taking active steps to reach positive results," the minister said. Read more
