Russia grateful to Venezuela for support of its view on Ukrainian developments - Deputy PM

MOSCOW, May 26. /TASS/. Russia is grateful to Venezuela for its understanding and support of Moscow’s principal approaches to the ongoing developments in the conflict-hit Ukraine, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said on Tuesday. "We are grateful to our Venezuelan friends for the understanding and support of our principal approaches toward developments in Ukraine, for your efforts to consolidate positions of many other friendly countries, including within the frames of the UN," Rogozin said addressing a session of the Russian and Venezuelan intergovernmental commission. The deputy premier also said Russia speaks for the soonest normalization of the interior political situation in Venezuela and expresses its solidarity with the people of the Latin American nation’s "drive toward the authentic sovereignty and independence."
