Russia, Iran say differences over nuclear programme need to be resolved as soon as possible

MOSCOW, July 6. /TASS/. Russia and Iran stand for resolving the differences over the Iranian nuclear programme as soon as possible, Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement after a meeting between the country’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Iranian counterpart Javad Zarif. The meeting took place as part of the six-party nuclear talks with Iran being held in Vienna on Monday. "The sides have exchanged views on the current state of the talks. Both parties say they intend to find mutually acceptable solutions for the remaining differences," the Foreign Ministry said. Read more
