MOSCOW, September 22. /TASS/. Russia and Israel have agreed to establish a channel on exchanging information on the situation in Syria, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday. "As the situation in Syria continues to be extremely tense and it mostly tends to deteriorate, in this case, due to partnership relations between Russia and Israel, we considered it necessary to establish a channel on exchanging information in such a sensitive sphere," Peskov said. The issue was discussed at the talks between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Monday, he said. At the talks, the sides "discussed the need for a greater exchange of information and information coordination between Russia and Israel," Peskov said. "Here it is not important at all who is on the site," Peskov said when speaking about Russia’s instructors in Syria. The sides also focused on bilateral relations, the current situation, trade and economic cooperation, investment and also on developing technologies. "This was discussed in detail already in a broader format." Read more
