Russia, Kuwaiti leaders confirm good potential for development of bilateral ties - Lavrov

SOCHI, November 10. /TASS/. The leaders of Russia and Kuwait, Vladimir Putin and Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah have confirmed that he two countries have a good potential for development of relations, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Tuesday after talks with the Kuwaiti side in the southern Russian resort of Sochi. Lavrov said relations between Russia and Kuwait are "traditionally friendly, confidential and mutually respectful." "The heads of state confirmed the presence of a good potential for their further deepening today," he said. "The talks’ agenda confirmed the versatility of bilateral relations, which is shown by the signed documents," Lavrov said. "This includes visa regime facilitation, development of contacts in the sphere of culture, humanitarian ties, cooperation in the sphere of transport, in the sphere of military and technical interaction," he said. Lavrov put special emphasis on the memorandum on cooperation in the oil and gas sphere, as well as agreement to create an additional investment platform. "Our Kuwaiti partners take part in all investment projects of the Russian Direct Investment Fund without exception via this platform," he added. Read more
