Russia opposes external intervention in situation in Algeria, says foreign minister

MOSCOW, March 19. /TASS/. Russia is seeing attempts to destabilize the situation in Algeria and opposes any external intervention in the situation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said ahead of negotiations with his Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra on Tuesday. "Of course, we are concerned about events that are taking place in your country," he noted. "We are seeing attempts to destabilize the situation and resolutely oppose any interference with these processes. We are confident that the Algerian people and the Algerian authorities will solve all arising problems based on the Algerian Constitution." Read more
