Russia set to resume strategic stability dialogue with US soon - diplomat

MOSCOW, July 1. /TASS/. Russia intends to resume dialogue with the United States on strategic stability in the near future, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said at the Valdai Discussion Club on Monday "One of the two issues, on which [we] achieved a serious mutual understanding [at the G20 summit], was strategic stability. We are poised to resume a relevant dialogue at the level of experts in the near future," he said. Russian and US Presidents, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, had an 80-minute meeting on the sidelines of the Group of Twenty summit in Osaka. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the leaders demonstrated very good attitude and expressed readiness to discuss a wide range of issues, from economy to strategic stability. Read more
