Russia, Turkey find acceptable solutions to Idlib crisis - Putin

MOSCOW, March 5. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said following talks with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan that the two countries had found an acceptable solution to the crisis in Syria’s Idlib. "We do not always agree with our Turkish partners in our assessments of what is going on in Syria. However, every time at critical moments, we were able to find common ground on disputed issues and acceptable solutions relying to the high level of bilateral relations that has been achieved. That was the case this time as well," Putin said. According to the Russian president, during the talks the parties have reaffirmed Russia’s and Turkey’s interest in continuing work as part of the Astana process. "It was the Astana process that at some point gave a fresh impetus in terms of the Syrian settlement [process]," he added. Read more
