Russia-US dialogue does not depend on personalities - ambassador

SAN FRANCISCO, October 7. /TASS/. The future of Russia-US dialogue does not depend on US administration personalities, Russian Ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov told reporters on the sidelines of the Fort Ross Dialogue international forum in San Francisco. "We are keeping a close eye on who is coming and who is going. I believe that the US president is the one who outlines the country’s policy course. We are confident that we should and will work with the White House and the Department of State, regardless of their staff makeup," the Russian ambassador pointed out. "I think it’s wrong to link the future of Russia-US dialogue on strategic stability, as well as the future of bilateral relations, to specific personalities. We are facing too important issues, for which the US and Russia are responsible, to think about how an official’s resignation might influence Russia-US relations," Antonov emphasized. Read more
