Russia wants Mongolia's support for hosting Expo 2020

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Parliament Speaker Z.Enkhbold received Monday a delegation led by Mr V.V.Samoilenko, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mongolia. Mr Samoilenko introduced to the Speaker a delegation led by Mr K.I.Kosachev, the head of the Federal Agency for the Affairs of the CIS States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo), and said they ask the Mongolian side to support Russian its seeking a right to host the Expo 2020 international exhibition in Yekaterinburg city. The Russian delegation expressed a hope that Mongolia will back Russia in its bid of hosting the Expo that will be announced by the Bureau of International Expositions (BIE) this year. During the meeting, Mr Kosachev gave to the Speaker a voucher of USD 150 thousand for buying medical facilities for infants. "It is not a gift that asks a return, this is just our sincere present to Mongolian children," Mr Kosachev said.
