Russia works with N.Korea to extend Pyongyang’s pause in missile tests - diplomat

SEOUL, November 27. /TASS/. Moscow is actively working with Pyeongyang to see North Korea’s unilateral moratorium on missile and nuclear tests to continue as long as possible, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov said on Monday. "We greatly value that North Korea preserves the regime of silence for two month already and Russia actively works to make sure that the current regime continues as long as possible," Morgulov told journalists at the eighth annual Asian Conference of the Valdai international discussion club in Seoul. Realistically, he continued, this means Pyongyang has begun implementing the first item of the Russian roadmap on settlement of the crisis on the Korean Peninsula. The plan covers freezing the missile-nuclear tests in exchange for stopping or reducing scale of the U.S.-South Korean military drills. Read more
