Russian deputy foreign minister, China’s ambassador discuss Middle East agenda

MOSCOW, August 11. /TASS/. Moscow and Beijing will continue to coordinate their approaches on the Middle East agenda, the Russian foreign ministry said on Tuesday after a meeting between Russian president’s envoy for the Middle East and North Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and China’s ambassador to Moscow Li Hui. "The two diplomats exchanged current issues of the development of the situation in Syria and Yemen and consolidation of international efforts in counteracting the terrorist threat of the Islamic State," the ministry said. "The sides reiterated their commitment to continue efficient coordination of Moscow’s and Beijing’s approaches on the Middle East agenda, which is of mutual concern." Read more
