VIENNA, May 14. /TASS/. Talks between Iran and the P5+1 - five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany - have picked fair pace, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told reporters on Thursday. He recalled that Iran was one of the issues on the agenda of talks, which the Russian side discussed a few days ago with the U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry in Sochi. "All the crucial signals from both sides were made and the main thing was the confirmation of resolve to continue collaboration in the interests of designing agreements on this old complicated problem," Ryabkov said. "I hope we’ll continue tomorrow to discuss things in the same key with our U.S. counterparts who are already here," he said. "As for the expectations, the pace is good now, unlike it was at many of the previous rounds of talks when dialogue was miring," Ryabkov said. "We trust that we’ll be able to state a further advance towards results in a few days’ time," he said. "The New York round at the level of experts, and the one at the level of Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi and EU Deputy High Representative Helge Schmidt was very, very fruitful and although it was a little dragged out, its duration paid back and was justified."
