Russian Federation Council chief due in Iran

Moscow, Nov 12, IRNA - Russian Federation Council chief Valentina Ivanovna is slated to pay an official visit to Iran tomorrow to review possible avenues for fostering mutual relations, it was reported on Saturday. While in Tehran, Ivanovna would hold talks with senior Iranian officials including President Hassan Rouhani, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani as well as Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif. She is slated to discuss possible ways for fostering regional, international and parliamentary cooperation during her two-day visit. Her trip to Tehran is part of visits between Tehran and Moscow following the implementation of last year’s nuclear agreement, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), on January 16. 1378/IRNA
