Russian, Iranian, Azerbaijani Presidents call for heeding international law norms

TEHERAN, November 1. /TASS/. Russia, Iran and Azerbaijan have called or an earliest possible settlement of regional conflicts on the basis of principles and norms of international law, said a statement the Presidents of the three countries issued upon the completion of their trilateral talks. "The sides admit that the unsettled conflicts in the region put up a considerable obstacle to regional cooperation, and in this light they stress the importance of the earliest possible settlement of these conflicts through talks based on the principles and norms of international law, as well as on the decisions and documents adopted on the basis of the latter," the document said In addition, the sides also stated their resolve "to rebuff terrorism, extremism, organized cross-border crime, illegal sales of weaponry, the trafficking of drugs and precursors, trading in people, and cybercrimes in every possible way." Moscow, Teheran and Baku urged the world community to pool efforts for efficacious struggle with these challengers and threats to international stability and security alongside with observing the central role of the UN.
