Russian media expert: Azerbaijan built image of peace-loving country

Baku, November 4, AZERTAC “Despite being involved in the conflict, Azerbaijan has built an image of a peace-loving country in the world. We observe different regional conflicts in most countries of the planet, including South Caucasus countries. The resolute steps to be taken by the heads of state is an important factor in finding solutions to the ongoing conflicts,” famous Russian media expert Evgeny Mikhaylov has told journalists. "We have witnessed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s resolute position on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," he said. “Ilham Aliyev is a pragmatic politician and pursues a rightly chosen foreign policy. But, unfortunately, we cannot see the same step from another side of the conflict. Therefore, a solution to the conflict is long overdue. Perhaps, if the Armenian leadership was able to escape from outside influence and manage to take resolute steps, the conflict would have been resolved." According to the media expert, thanks to President Ilham Aliyev`s well thought-out and purposeful policy the reputation of the people of Azerbaijan has definitely increased. Mikhaylov also stressed that the role of servicemen in the settlement of regional conflicts should be taken into account. “In some cases, servicemen display no interest in solving conflicts due to certain reasons. They play a crucial role in quickly resolving or delaying the conflicts. Therefore, their role must be taken into account," he added. Khatai Azizov Special Correspondent
