Russian Official, Iranian Envoy Confer

Moscow, March 18, IRNA – Governor General of Russian province of Astrakhan Alexander Jiklin said here on Tuesday that expansion of ties with Iran is considered as a priority of the countryˈs foreign policy. Jiklin made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanaei. Presence of some 150 Iranian companies in Astrakhan is an indication to increase in the level of cooperation between Iran and the Russian province. Sanaei, for his part, underlined that the provincial cooperation plays a pivotal role in fostering economic ties between the two countries./end
