Russian PM rounds off working trip to Far East, Asia, returns to Moscow

MOSCOW, April 9. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has rounded off his working trip to the Far East and Asia and returned to Moscow, the governmental press service told TASS. On Thursday Medvedev is due to hold a cabinet meeting. During the six-day trip the prime minister covered a distance of 19,000 kilometres by plane /equal to one half of the equator/, spending over 25 hours in the sky. On Friday evening Medvedev left Moscow for the Far Eastern city of Khabarovsk where he had a session on implementation of regional anti-crisis plans by the Russian Far Eastern regions in 2015. He also presented awards to people who eliminated the aftermaths of devastating floods raging in the region in 2013. On Sunday Medvedev arrived in Vietnam for an official visit. On Monday he held talks with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Tan Dung and signed several documents. Besides, he had meetings with Secretary General of the Communist Party Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong, President Truong Tan Sang and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung. On Tuesday upon arriving in Ho Chi Minh City, Medvedev had meetings with business people of Russia and Vietnam and visited a military historic memorial. On Wednesday the Russian prime minister arrived in Thailand for an official visit and held negotiations with his Thai counterpart, inking a number of documents.
