Russian, Turkmen leaders discuss bilateral relations during phone call

MOSCOW, February 18. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov have discussed bilateral relations in various spheres during a phone call on Tuesday, the Kremlin press service informed. The call was held at the initiative of Turkmenistan. "They have discussed key issues on the bilateral agenda, including political, trade-investment and cultural-humanitarian cooperation. They have noted a significant contribution of regions and major companies to ensuring the positive trend of economic cooperation," the message informs. The Kremlin press service added that both leaders had reaffirmed their mutual commitment to strengthening the Russian-Turkmen partnership and to developing constructive dialogue on key regional issues. They have agreed to maintain active contacts at various levels. Read more
