Russia's State Duma speaker to visit India on Feb 26-27

MOSCOW, February 24. /TASS/. Speaker of the State Duma, lower house of Russia's parliament, Sergey Naryshkin will make an official two-day visit to India on February 26-27, the house's PR department said on Tuesday. An agenda of the visit envisions a meeting with Indian President Pranab Kumar Mukherjee, and talks with his Indian counterpart, Speaker of the Indian House of the People Sumitra Mahajan. Naryshkin is expected to participate in the third round of Russian-Indian parliamentary commission, and had a meeting with Mohammad Hamid Ansari, Chairman of the Council of States (upper house of the Parliament of India). "Chairman of the State Duma will participate in round-table discussions of Russian-Indian co-operation within BRICs along with historic and cultural aspects of bilateral relations," the department said.
