S. Korean Military Blasted for Arms Build-up

Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) -- In the U.S. recently, there took place a ceremony for the purchase of F-35A Stealth fighters in the presence of south Korean military high-ranking officials including a vice minister of Defense. In the wake of the ceremony the south Korean military said that the Stealth fighters can infiltrate into the rear of the north and that it is the most dreadful weapon the north fears. They have also announced that they will introduce 40 F-35A Stealth fighters by the year 2021 and deploy them for real war. Minju Joson in a commentary Thursday brands such arms build-up as an unpardonable act of taking advantage of U.S. moves for aggression on the DPRK. The commentary says: If the south Korean military authorities think they can achieve something by overcoming military inferiority with the help of outsiders, nothing is more serious miscalculation than that. Dialogue and confrontation and peace and war cannot go together and the military confrontation racket by the south Korean military warmongers will never work on us. If the south Korean authorities are sincerely interested in the settlement of the national issue, they should blast the arrogant military's stance of confrontation with the fellow countrymen before anything else. If they continue to allow the military to persist in the military conspiracy with foreign forces, they will follow in the footsteps of the conservative regime which met the miserable end forsaken by the people for its confrontation with the fellow countrymen and war moves to invade the north. The south Korean authorities should bear in mind that all the fellow countrymen are watching them and think twice and behave themselves. -0-
