Safavi: Iran To Successfully Overcome All Challenges

Tehran, Nov 28, IRNA – Advisor to the Supreme Leader for International Affairs, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said on Tuesday that Iranian nation will successfully overcome the challenges. Addressing a group of Basij members (volunteer forces) in Kish Island, he said that significant events and developments will take place next year requiring in-depth understanding of national, regional and international policies. Late Imam Khomeini established Basiji in 1979 which indicates his far-sightedness and insight consistent with the Islamic Revolution in the world, he said. He said that establishment of Basij was a winning card in the hands of Iranian nation to deal with domestic and foreign enemies. Basiji forces are regarded as inexhaustible capacity to defend the country or invade the enemies, he said, adding that Basij forces are the country's asset to thwart the toughest issues. Safavi said that the US and Zionists along with the neighboring states are observing the endeavors the Iranian nation are making to go ahead with progress in science and technology. Citing the democratic nature of the governing system of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he said that the three branches of government are following up the constitutional provisions to render service to the people and set an advanced model for the other nations to follow the example of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
