Sajjadi Fails To Win Majlis Confidence Vote As Sports Minister

Tehran, Nov 10, IRNA – Nasrollah Sajjadi failed to win the vote of confidence of the Iranian Parliament as the minister of sports and youth affairs. President Hassan Rouhani, in a letter to the Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani on November 4, proposed Nasrollah Sajjadi as minister of sports and youth affairs. This is the third time the Majlis rejects President Rouhani’s candidate for the post. President Rouhani attended Majlis session this morning to defend his nominee. Sajjadi managed to collect only 124 votes in his favor out of the overall 253 cast during the Majlis session./end
