Salehi Expresses Hope For Restoration Of Stability In Syria

Tehran, July 31, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi in a phone talk with his Swedish counterpart Monday elaborated on Iran’s stand on Syrian developments expressing hope that the security condition in that country would soon improve and stability would be restored. According to the Media and Information Head Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Salehi told his Swedish Counterpart Carl Bildt : “The countries which are Syria’s friends and supporters of peace and stability in the region would provide the appropriate conditions for holding a dialog between the Syrian government and the dissidents aimed at seeking ways for exit from the ongoing status there.” Bildt, for his part, expressed Stockholm’s serious concern about the deteriorating conditions in Syria, adding that “the entire world countries must do their best to end the present conditions in Syria./end
