Salehi: Kidnapped Iranians Released In Libya

Tehran, Oct 7, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said on Saturday that Iranian nationals kidnapped in Libya were released on Saturday. Speaking to reporters, he said that it is about two months that Iranian Foreign Ministry had been making extensive efforts to get the job done. Fortunately, following extensive contacts with Libyan officials as well as local officials in Benghazi, the seven kidnapped Iranians were released after 65 days in captivity and delivered to Iranian officials in Tripoli . The released Iranians are in good health conditions and will get back home at the earliest opportunity, Salehi said./end
