Salehi: NAM Summit, A Great Success For Iran

Tehran, Sept 3, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said that the summit of the 16th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) was held under the best conditions in Tehran and it had great achievements. 'The most important achievement of the NAM summit was the fact that its statement was approved without any further debate,' he added. Salehi pointed out that the success of the Islamic Republic of Iran was to such extent that even some Western media termed it IR Iran's victory vis-à-vis the West. Referring to participation of more than 120 countries in the 16th NAM Summit, he said that the NAM Summit was held under best conditions and at the presence of heads-of-state of NAM./end
