Salehi: Palestine Working Group To Be Established In New York

Tehran, Aug 29, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said a special Palestine working group will be established in New York to follow up Palestinian issues more seriously. At the end of the meeting of Palestine committee which was held on the sidelines of NAM foreign ministers meeting here on Tuesday, Salehi told reporters the outcome of the meeting was very good, adding that for the first time it was decided that a working group to be established in New York. He continued that the group is to consider the issue of Palestine in five fields. Creating unity among Palestinian groups, ways to use media, and helping Palestinians to promote their abilities are among cases to be worked out by the group. He added that ways to prohibit buying Israelis goods are among other issues to be discussed because a number of NAM countries have ties with Israel. Salehi concluded that the meeting had good achievements and for the first time necessary proposals were offered to make support for Palestinians operational./end
