Tehran, Aug 29, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has issued permission for the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) meeting guests to visit Natanz nuclear facility. The foreign minister made the remarks while talking to reporters on Wednesday after opening of the Non-Aligned Movement Center for Human Rights and Cultural Diversity. He said NAM guests have been offered a number of options on ways of visiting the nuclear facility in central Iran. The foreign minister also said the NAM meeting participants have also options to visit such historical cities as Isfahan and Shiraz, industrial centers like Assalouyeh and car manufacturing companies, scientific centers and research organizations such as the Atomic Energy Organization. Salehi said the mass participation of NAM member states in Tehran meeting proves that Iran as an influential country in the world arena is capable of easily achieving its objectives. He said despite enormous attempts by certain countries to make the meeting a failure, Tehran is now witnessing the remarkable presence of NAM member states in the meeting. He said the presence of NAM member states in the Tehran meeting is much more outstanding than any meeting before which makes it a great political achievement for Iran. The Iranian foreign minister further stressed that those who tried to spread the illusion of Iran’s isolation in political arena have to admit that Iran never claims anything but practices its motto and the current situation in Tehran is what they can easily see for themselves. According to Salehi, 35 foreign ministers addressed the NAM foreign ministerial meeting yesterday with another 20-30 to deliver speeches at the event on Wednesday./end
