Salehi : Regional Nations Never Tolerate Meddling Of Aliens

Tehran, Aug 27, IRNA – Iran's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said on Sunday that people in the Middle East and North of Africa call for peace, human dignity and justice and will never tolerate meddling of aliens in their internal affairs. Salehi made the remarks in the opening session of the experts meeting of the 16th NAM summit in Tehran on Sunday. No power in the world can ignore legitimate rights of nations and their demands, he said adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran believes in dialogue, respect to human rights and people demands which all have been ignored by despotic regimes. The message of world nations through their uprisings and political developments in regional and global developments must be heard, he said. "Meddling of aliens in regional developments is not acceptable and run counter with democracy. "Iran calls for the international community to adopt a just policy about Palestine." He said that Palestine's dilemma accounts for stirring wrath and frustration in the Middle East region. "Iran along with other members of international community as well as NAM member states call for practice of a just and fair policy on Palestine based of which the Palestinians to be able to decide their fate and oblige the illegitimate occupying regime to end occupation of Palestinian territories." The atrocities and crimes of the Zionist regime against Palestinians and other people in the region is regarded as the biggest threat to international peace and security, Salehi underlined. Peace in the Middle East region will not obtained through discrimination, blind policies of Zionist regime by supporting state-terrorism, occupation, torture, destruction, threat and invasion, he said. "A durable peace in Palestine and the Middle East to be attained only through practice of justice, removal of discrimination, putting an end to occupation in Palestine, Syria and Lebanon and repatriation of Palestinian refugees. "Many of us are among victims of such heinous crimes (terrorism). Iran strongly calls for serious action to be taken against Israeli threats and believes that Israeli state terrorism will be eradicated through fair and collective cooperation and contribution of international community. Iran calls for avoiding selective approach and pay due attention to the root-cause of terrorism which are among failures of western colonial and usurper powers." In our opinion, the Zionist regime is one of the root-cause of terrorism, and the efforts made by US administration to abuse September 11th terror operation led to lack of security in the Middle East region and prepared ground for justification of US hegemony under the guise of campaign against terrorism, Salehi said. He said that it is the right time to make pace to put an end to all types of terrorism such as state terrorism which won support of western powers and their last victims were the Iranian scientists. "We seek a world free from terrorism," Salehi said./end
