Salehi: Time, Place For Iran-5+1G Talks Not Yet Specified

Tehran, Jan 19, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi ruling out speculations on place and time of next round of Iran-5+1G talks said they are not specified yet; SNSC Secretary Sa'eid Jalili and colleagues are negotiating the matter; relative information to be revealed soon. Asked about his speculation about the future of the future of Iran-Group of 5+1 negotiations, Salehi said, 'We are not used to making speculations, but I can tell you that we are optimistic about the future of the talks and I tell the Iranian nation that a bright and glorious future is ahead of us, so be patient a little longer.' Salehi, focusing on the 2nd National Caspian Sea Conference and its practical results, added, 'At that conference we emphasized the need for pursuing three major fundamentals, the first of which was ensuring national interests, which means we cannot ignore our national interests.' Abiding by the international conventions was the second fundamental which was emphasized, Salehi noted, reiterating that 'On this basis, any agreement that is signed by Iran is also respected and abided by Iran. According to him, the third fundamental, too, emphasizes that Iran's moves are based on an ethical cradle, because we cannot like the other countries move on the basis of the goal justifies the means. Salehi emphasized that his affiliated ministry has constructive interactions with the Islamic Parliament, Majlis, adding, 'The expert level arguments and discussions at Caspian Sea Conference are aimed at safeguarding the Iranian national interests.' On last week visit of an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) delegation and the probability of their visit of Parchin in their future visit next month, said, 'The inspectors are after devising a framework based on which it would be defined which places they would visit, and basically, whether they would visit some places, or not. All these issue would be predicted in that framework.' According to an IRNA Friday report from the IRI Parliament's website, Salehi reiterated that visiting the Parchin military site is in need of a certain separate framework. 2329**2329
