SAM delegation visits Greece

Baku, April 1 (AzerTAc). Head of Foreign Policy Analysis Department at the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan Rovshan Ibrahimov, head of Economic Analysis and Global Affairs Vusal Gasimli, scientific expert Heydar Mirza and head of press service Mehriban Hasanova have visited Greece to attend the international conference titled “Economic relations between Azerbaijan and Greece: opportunities and challenges”. The conference was co-organized by the Institute of International Economic Relations (IIER), Athens, Center for International Relations (SAM) under the President of Azerbaijan and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Greece. Director at the Institute of International Economic Relations Charalambos Tsardanidis addressed the meeting. The conference saw speeches by Rovshan Ibrahimov titled “Energy policy of Azerbaijan in Eastern and Western Europe”, by Vusal Gasimli headlined “Azerbaijan-Greece cooperation: beyond energy” and by Makis Papapostolou on “Business opportunities in Azerbaijan”. The SAM delegation has also held meetings at the Greece-Azerbaijan Youth Centre and Centre for Black Sea Studies. During the trip, the delegation will attend the conference titled “Security in the Black Sea and the Southern Caucasus: Vision of Greece and Azerbaijan” and sign a Memorandum of Agreement at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP). The delegation will also hold meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece, and the Azerbaijan-Greece inter-parliamentary group.
