Scholar: US Seeking To Deceive World By False Anti-Iran Claims

Kuala Lumpur, Nov 23, IRNA – The Canadian university professor Michel Chossudovsky said the US was seeking to deceive the world public opinion by focusing on false claims about Iran’s nuclear program. Talking to IRNA on Wednesday, he termed the US as the biggest nuclear criminal in the world and stressed that the US, Israel and the NATO were the real threats to the world not Iran. He said America was trying hard to depict Iran as a threat to other world countries. The Canadian economist who is in Malaysia to attend the symbolic trial of Bush and Blair, further noted that the silly side of such claims is that the countries which possess nuclear arms and always propagate and initiate wars in the world are now chanting anti-nuclear arms slogans only to exert pressures on other countries. He believed the US and its allies were trying to use the United Nations and other international bodies to intimidate Iran. The scholar said the so-called peace and democracy operations were just covers for military actions of the US and the NATO because they only thought of their own benefits and confronted any country which resisted them, the way Iran is doing now. Stressing that Israel would embark on no kind of military actions without the US green light, Chossudovsky said the existing threats against Iran and Syria aim at breaking resistance against the US and Israel hegemony and bullying in the region./end
