SCO development strategy until 2025 marks completion of organisation formation - Mezentsev

UFA, July 10. /TASS/. The adoption of the development strategy of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) until 2025 marks the completion of the organisation’s formation, SCO Secretary General Dmitry Mezentsev said on Friday. "The organisation has presented to the heads of state a draft strategy until 2025," he said. "This is the first ever SCO attempt to prepare a major document determining not just some abstract tasks for the next 10 years. This is a very substantive, professional document." "It’s important to note that the SCO strategy marks the completion of the stage of the organisation’s formation," Mezentsev said. He said consensus, as well as "the consistent accumulation of experience and work on the same foundation" are among the main SCO principles. "We always assess meetings of the Council of SCO Heads of State as the main event of the year," Mezentsev added.
