Senior Diplomat Rejects Iranˈs Interference In Yemen Affairs

Tehran, May 28, IRNA – Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Abbas Araqchi rejected the claim that the Islamic Republic of Iran has meddled in the Yemeni domestic affairs. Araqchi further described the allegation made by the Yemeni Foreign Minister Abubakr al-Qirbi as baseless and undocumented. He added the minister is following policies adopted by the former Yemeni regime which was toppled by the people. Araqchi reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran respects the sovereignty and solidarity of Yemen. He stressed that Tehran has always stood by Sanaˈa and spared no effort to ensure peace and development there./end
