Serbia's Vucic says will continue moving to EU while keeping up good ties with Russia, China

BELGRADE, April 3. /TASS/. Serbia's President-Elect Aleksandar Vucic, who got more than 57 percent votes in Sunday's presidential election, has promised that the country will continue moving towards EU membership and will keep up friendly relations with Russia and China at the same time. He said it on Sunday night as he addressed reporters at this electoral staff. "We'll continue moving down the road to the EU but we'll also maintain friendly relations with our traditional partners in the East -- China and Russia," Vucic said. He disclosed his plans to make China the first destination of his foreign visits. Also, he thanked German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel and Russian President Vladimir Putin for their consent to meet with him just several days before 'silence day' and expressed gratitude to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and other politicians for support.
