Sharjah Ruler receives ABET delegation

SHARJAH, 22nd November, 2016 (WAM) H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Sharjah, UoS, on Monday received a delegation from ABET, the US-based Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, who are on a visit to the emirate. The parties discussed academic progress being made by the UoS. Later, the Ruler and the delegation toured the University City of Sharjah and the new building of the Dr Sultan Al Qasimi Centre of Gulf Studies. The ABET delegation are in Sharjah to discuss renewing accreditation of accreditation of academic programmes run by the UoS. ABET accredits college and university programmes in the disciplines of applied science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology at the associate, bachelor, and master degree levels.
