Shateri Assassination Proves Tel Aviv Concern Over Resistance Movement : Envoy

Beirut, Feb 16, IRNA - Iranˈs Ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi said here Friday the assassination of head of Iranˈs Reconstruction Headquarters in Lebanon, Brigadier General Hassan Shateri indicates the Zionist regimeˈs concern over continuation of the resistance movement. Roknabadi made the remarks on the sidelines of a ceremony to commemorate assassination of martyr Shateri at the Iranian embassy in Beirut. Iran’s Embassy in Syria confirmed Thursday (Feb 14) that Shateri was assassinated by terrorist groups in Syria while he was on his way to Damascus airport to return to Lebanon from the Syrian city of Aleppo. Martyr Shateri was in Aleppo to implement several reconstruction and development projects in that city. The Iranian delegation, led by Martyr Shateri, played a major role in reconstructing southern Lebanon after the Zionist regime’s 33-day war against the country in 2006.
