Sherman: Iranˈs Enrichment To Be Continued

New York, Feb 23, IRNA – US Under Secretary for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman said on Saturday that the final agreement between Iran and the Group 5+1 would permit Tehran to continue its enrichment program for domestic scientific purposes. Therefore, this would be unacceptable to expect Tehran to stop its enrichment activities, Sherman told reporters in a recent visit to the occupied Palestine. She added that Iran deal will permit ˈmonitored, verifiedˈ enrichment program. Sherman who represents US in Iran talks with the world Sextet (US, Britain, Russia, France and China plus Germany) said like Tel Aviv, Washington prefers Iran not to have enrichment program inside the country but this is an unacceptable expectation. She said although the nuclear talks are difficult, diplomatic efforts should continue to resolve Iranˈs nuclear dispute with the West. She stressed that others should not interfere in the process of the nuclear talks. Analysts believed that Shermanˈs comments were actually a clear message to Zionist leaders and US radicals saying that they had no right to disturb the process of nuclear talks with Iran by exerting pressure or posing threats. At the end of the latest round of Iran-G5+1 nuclear talks in Vienna on Friday (February 21), Sherman left Austria for the Occupied Palestine to meet Zionist leaders./end
