Shura Council lauds ILO decision in favour of Bahrain

Manama, March 31 (BNA)-- The Shura Council hailed today a decision by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) to drop charges against Bahrain in connection with the aftermath of February and March 2011 incidents. It commended the efforts of the three production sides in settling the issue once for good, thus reflecting the sound approach adopted by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. The Shura Council also lauded the efforts of Labour Minister Jamil Humaidan in this respect and the directives of HRH the Premier to place the national interest above anything else, overcome challenges and ensure a brighter future. It also praised Bahrain's high status in protecting labour rights and bolstering citizens' welfare.
