Singapore DPRK-U.S. Summit Hailed

Pyongyang, July 13 (KCNA) -- The African Regional Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea released a statement on July 2 to welcome the DPRK-U.S. summit in Singapore.
The statement said:
We welcome the historic summit meeting and talks between HE Kim Jong Un, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Donald J. Trump, president of the United States of America, which opened a bright future for eliminating the prejudice, mistrust and decades-long hostile relations and establishing new DPRK-U.S. relations and permanent and durable peace-keeping regime on the Korean Peninsula.
The talks and adoption of a joint statement are an important event that provided a turning point in promoting peace, stability and prosperity in the Korean Peninsula and the world.
We call upon all the countries to help open a new era of cooperation between the DPRK and the U.S. on the principle of respect for the sovereignty.
We extend warm congratulations to respected HE Kim Jong Un who made a great contribution to ensuring peace and security in the Korean Peninsula and the world with his distinguished diplomatic strategy and through his energetic external activities.
We extend firm solidarity to the Korean people in their struggle for peace and prosperity. -0-
