Situation at Iran-P5+1 talks progressing in right direction - Russian foreign minister

VIENNA, June 30. /TASS/. The situation at the talks on the Iranian nuclear programme is progressing in the right directions, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told journalists on Tuesday. "I have no information about the European Union’s decision [to freeze sanctions against Iran till July 7], this is not the subject of multilateral talks," he said. "We with [U.S. Secretary of State John] Kerry touched upon issues related to the Vienna talks on the Iranian nuclear programme. The situation at the talks is progress in the right direction, with not technical but rather procedural issues, such as the presentation of the agreement at the United Nations Security Council, remaining unsettled," he said. "We have all the grounds to believe that the result is quite attainable and we instructed our deputies to spare no effort to reach the agreement within days." When asked whether Teheran and the six powers (the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and Germany) had managed to settle aspects of the problem of lifting off sanctions and control from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Lavrov said, "The remaining issues concern procedural aspects and include various mechanisms."
