S.Leader’s Fatwa, Best Guarantee Iran Will Never Seek N-weapons: Religious Leader

Islamabad, Oct 1, IRNA – A religious Pakistani leader on Tuesday said that the fatwa issued by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei against development of nuclear weapons is the best guarantee that Iran will never seek nuclear weapons. Talking to IRNA, Allama Amin Shaheedi, Deputy Secretary General of Majlis Wehdat Muslemeen (MWM) said that West must accept Iran’s peaceful nuclear right and immediately lift unjustified sanctions against Iran. He said that it is in the culture of Europe and US to build dangerous weapons and kill innocent people but on the other hand Islam prohibits development of such weapons. He said that US wants Muslims to keep away from acquiring nuclear technology. Allama Amin Shaheedi said that if US is worried about the world peace then they should stop Zionist Regime that is actually developing nuclear weapons. He pointed out that US is the only country in the world that has practically used nuclear weapons. The religious leader said that Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei by issuing religious decree has shown to the world that nuclear weapons have no place in Islam. “Muslims under religion are bound not to use weapons which are dangerous for the mankind,” he noted. Shaheedi added Iran has always pursued the path of peace and never interfered in the internal affairs of other states. “Iran wants to live in the world with dignity which is its right,” he said. He said that world also in principle has accepted that Iran has no ambition to develop nuclear weapons and that is why US and West are ready to solve all issues with Iran through dialogue. The MWM leader went on to say that nuclear weapons cannot guarantee power in the world. “Look US is having most advanced nuclear weapons yet the majority of the world is criticizing its aggressive policies,” he said. He said that anti-American sentiment is on the rise because US is behind every problem in the world. The religious leader added that on the other hand Islamic Revolution of Iran has a great respect in the hearts of people across the world. He said teachings of Founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini and Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei are being followed in every part of the world. “People have highest regards for the Iranian leaders despite American propaganda,” said the religious leader. Allama Amin Shaheedi expressing his views said that Iran with the cooperation of regional states has been able to stop US from carrying out military strike on Syria. “The case of Syria is slightly different from other countries because US wanted to punish the Arab state for giving resistance to American anti-Islam policies in the Middle East” he said. The MWM leader said Syria has always raised strong voice against Zionist Regime and supported Palestinians, which disturbs the US. Shaheedi said that Iran by using the diplomatic channel has been able to convince the world that any strike on Syria would place the whole world in a dangerous situation. “US can start the war but cannot finish it,” he pointed out. He said that Iran has successfully stopped US aggressive designs against Syria which shows the wisdom of Iranian leadership. The religious leader said that Iranian President Hassan Rohani is trying to develop strong relations with the world. He said that future of Iran is bright adding that success of Iran lies under the stability of the Islamic Revolution. Shaheedi said that conspiracies against the Islamic Revolution have been failed and today Iran has emerged as powerful and respectable nation of the world./end
