S.Leader Hails Basij As Symbol Of Power

Tehran, Nov 20, IRNA – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei hailed the role of Basij volunteer forces as the symbol of power and efficiency of skilled Iranian forces. Ayatollah Khamenei made the remark while addressing the gathering of 50,000 Basij commanders from across the country in Tehran on the advent of the Basij Week. He said wherever people are to confront their enemies they have to overcome the will of the foes. This is what certainly happens about the Iranian Basij, he added. Saying that withdrawing before enemies is forbidden in Islam, the Supreme Leader stressed that the heroic flexibility means smart maneuvers before the enemies to get to the objectives./end
